Newsweek Hosts Executive Forum
Newsweek hosted the Executive Forum, “Childhood Obesity: Challenges and Ways to Promote Health and Wellness in America’s Communities.” National Dairy Council was proud to co-host the forum, as it provided a great showcase for Fuel Up to Play 60 and the progress we are making in schools. This was a historic milestone for the dairy industry, as it cemented the industry’s leadership in child health, with NDC’s efforts cited by high-profile national thought leaders. This event also helps us open the door for additional support from other organizations and businesses, and provided an excellent venue to provide information and education to key decision makers. Fuel Up to Play 60 is truly becoming a key rallying point for child health stakeholders across the private and public sectors.

The following advertorials were published in the March 22, 2010 issue of Newsweek.

"Saving a generation doesn't take rocket science. It just takes teamwork."

"Childhood obesity is one of the most serious problems facing our kids. it's also one of the most solvable."

"We can ensure a healthier future for the next generation. If our generation steps up."

"America's dairy farmers have always cared about the legacy we leave our children. That's why we're joining to fight a serious threat to their future."
